I was born and raised in the Bay Area and went to college at Johns Hopkins University, where I studied creative writing and public health. After another year back in the Bay (including a short stint of bartending) I went to graduate school at UC Berkeley and got a dual-Master’s degree in public health and journalism. My main professional interests include reporting, editing and any type of writing project. My main personal interests include reading Sci-Fi books, petting dogs and growing my own food (or at least trying).
